FRUITY PERFUMES
Inspired By Billie Holiday
Billie Holiday, nicknamed “Lady Day” by her musical partner Lester Young, was one of the leading ladies of jazz. She grew up in the school of hard knocks which she was never quite able to shake as she struggled with substance abuse and ultimately died of alcoholism at age 44. Among her triumphs were the hits “Summertime,” “Carelessly,” and “I’ve Got to Keep My Love Warm.” Lady Day wore the scent Evening in Paris from which this perfume is inspired.
Additional Fragrance Families
There are five main perfume fragrance families, which include floral, amber, woody, fresh, and musky. Each perfume note has its own unique smell, which can be combined with other notes to create a desired scent. For example, a floral perfume may contain notes of rose, jasmine, and lily, while an amber perfume may contain notes of vanilla, amber, and spices.
